Subject	Front upper link bracket bolts?

Message	I installed the front upper adjustable arms the other day and one of the 14mm nuts stripped out on the bolt. I managed to get it off after fighting it for about 30 mins. But the two bolts are securely fastened on a metal plate and don't come off. I planned on going to Fastenal this afternoon and getting some bolts and nuts to replace them. Would it be okay to go buy new bolts and nuts and not use the metal plate the studs are on?
